Nutritional Therapist
Jane Bains
I am a fully qualified and insured BANT and CNHC registered Nutritional Therapist. I am committed to working with clients to help improve their health and well-being. My job is to get to know my clients and how I can best help them to address their health concerns. I do this by asking clients to complete and return a detailed health questionnaire prior to the consultation.
This provides me with a good overview of their health status along with details of any medications and supplements being taking. There’s also a section to complete on diet and lifestyle – more information to help me build up a comprehensive picture of what is going on and where improvements can be made. Where needed, I refer to the most up-to-date research on effective nutritional approaches to tackle specific health concerns. During the one-to-one initial consultation I will use all of the information gathered to assess a client’s nutritional status and put together a practical dietary and lifestyle programme, with their specific health goals in mind.
I care about my clients and am committed to helping them achieve their personal health goals via a personalised and tailored nutritional approach. I studied at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition for fours years and graduated with a DipION and FdSc Degree (with distinction) in Nutritional Therapy. I am a member of BANT, CNHC accredited and fully insured to practice Nutritional Therapy. I have worked in private practice for a number of years, working with many clients seeking nutritional advice to help improve their health and well-being.
My training is ongoing, and I continue to ensure my skills and knowledge are up-to-date and relevant by undertaking a minimum of 30 hours continued professional development each year. I am also a YMCA trained Level 3 Personal Trainer and Gym Instructor. I work with my clients both online and in-person to help them to reach their fitness goals and maximise their health span.
