Health Checks & Blood Tests
Harpenden Medical health checks are comprehensive assessments designed to evaluate and monitor overall health through blood tests and consultation appointments. These health checks are tailored to the specific needs of men and women, focusing on early detection of potential health issues. Blood tests can provide vital information on cholesterol levels, blood sugar, liver and kidney function, and markers for heart disease and diabetes. For men, these checks often include screening for prostate health and testosterone levels, while women may have assessments for hormone levels, thyroid function, and reproductive health.
Consultation appointments allow healthcare providers to discuss the results of these tests in detail, offering personalized advice and recommendations based on individual health profiles. These consultations are an opportunity to address any concerns, review medical history, and discuss lifestyle factors such as diet, exercise, and stress management. Early detection through regular health checks can lead to more effective management and treatment of conditions, improving long-term health outcomes.
Full body health checks are proactive steps towards maintaining wellness, preventing serious health issues, and promoting a balanced and healthy lifestyle. They are especially important as individuals age, helping to monitor changes in health and mitigate risks associated with ageing. Regular health checks empower individuals with knowledge about their health status, encouraging them to make informed decisions and take control of their health journey. Overall, these comprehensive assessments are valuable tools in promoting longevity and enhancing quality of life through preventive healthcare.
At Harpenden Medical, we understand the importance of feeling your best and how feeling generally unwell, tired or run down has a huge impact on your day-to-day life. Regular review and assessment of your health is key to understanding and maintaining good health and wellbeing. Through a series of blood and urine samples, we measure your biomarkers to provide a deeper understanding of your unique health profile including hormonal, heart, kidney, liver, thyroid, digestive and nutritional health.
The price quoted for blood tests includes a blood draw (phlebotomy) charge and a review of your results by a clinician. If you require a further appointment, this will be an additional charge.

Testimonials
What our patients say...
I visited Harpenden Medical following a series of heart-related issues. I have seen various GPs and been prescribed different medications but didn’t see any improvement.
After speaking with Dr Jollyman, for the first time in years I feel I am finally being listened to and given the right advice. I feel better already after a few short weeks of treatment and I look forward to seeing more results.

A beautiful clinic, on truly stunning grounds.
I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Harpenden Medical Clinic and have booked further treatments on recommendation after a discovery call to explore my health concerns. I can’t wait to go back!
