Dr. Shetal Patel

Dr. Shetal Patel is a Clinical Psychologist with 20 years of experience supporting people with a range of mental health difficulties, both in the UK and in Australia. Her training in a variety of evidence-based therapies means she can create tailored, goal-driven treatment plans and offer specialised and flexible therapy for a range of emotional and mental health difficulties.

These include:

• Stress and burnout
• Anxiety (e.g., trauma and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Anxiety and Panic disorder, Phobias etc.)
• Low mood, Depression and Emotion Regulation
• Loss and Grief,
• Emotional wellbeing and navigating life transitions.

Dr. Patel is a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental practitioner, supporting clients to explore their thoughts and emotions at their own pace.

Alongside her private practice, Dr. Shetal Patel works in the NHS as the Clinical Lead for Hertfordshire’s Perinatal Trauma and Loss Care service (Perinatal TLC), where she specialises in supporting people through fertility challenges, perinatal loss, pregnancy and postnatal mental health difficulties, birth trauma etc.

Dr. Patel collaborates with clients to develop an understanding of their unique difficulties. She flexibly draws on a range of evidence-based modalities, including:

• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
• Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
• Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
• Dr. Patel is fluent in English and Gujarati and is accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). In her spare time, Dr Patel enjoys
