TruCheck Cancer Screening
Early detection is critical to effective cancer treatment, and this revolutionary cancer screening method detects the presence and location of a wide range of tumours even before symptoms appear.
The benefits of TruCheck Cancer Screening
TruCheck Early Multi-Cancer Screening blood test identifies circulating tumour cells (CTCs) that are shed into the bloodstream from cancerous tumours.
The benefits of this fantastic innovation in cancer screening include:
- Detection of a wide range of solid tumour cancers before symptoms begin and the cancer has spread, allowing for early intervention and better outcomes.
- Accurate identification of the location of cancer so that patients can receive focused and appropriate treatment immediately.
- Convenient and stress-free delivery involving a simple blood sample taken at our clinic
We are delighted to offer our patients this state-of-the-art cancer screening procedure, which can identify up to 70 types of solid cancer tumours.
TruCheck Cancer Screening at Harpenden Medical
This screening is an amazing opportunity to protect your health and gain peace of mind. We suggest taking the TruCheck Cancer Screening test as part of your annual Well-Woman or Well-Man checkup.
All health screenings require a consultation with a medical professional to discuss your medical history and your motivation for screening.
TruCheck Cancer Screening does require a needle, but there is no need to be nervous. Only a small blood sample is required, and our highly experienced phlebotomists will make the process quick and painless.
It takes 12 working days for your blood sample to be analysed and the results returned.
One of our dedicated medical professionals will discuss your results with you in detail and advise you if any further steps are required.

Frequently asked questions
How can I be sure that the test is reliable?
TruCheck Cancer Screening has been rigorously tested and used in clinical trials with over 40,000 patients. The blood samples are analysed in laboratories that are UKAS accredited and registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Can the screening test detect every type of cancer?
TruCheck Cancer Screening can detect a wide range of solid tumours that develop in the organs and skin. It cannot currently detect blood cancer.
If the test is negative, does that mean that I won’t get cancer in the future?
Like all screening tests, the TruCheck Cancer Screening provides a snapshot of your health status at the time of the test. Cancer cells can develop in the body anytime after a negative screening result, so we recommend that this screening be included in your annual wellness check.
Am I a good candidate for TruCheck Cancer Screening?
Most people keen to check on their health are suitable for this test; however, there are some exceptions.
- Patients should be 40 plus unless at high risk of certain cancers, in which case the age threshold is 35
- Patients should be cancer-free and without any symptoms of cancer or being investigated for cancer at the time of screening
- Patients should not have a previous history of cancer and cancer treatment
Receiving a blood transfusion within 72 hours of giving your blood sample could affect the results.

Testimonials
What our patients say...
A beautiful clinic, on truly stunning grounds.
I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Harpenden Medical Clinic and have booked further treatments on recommendation after a discovery call to explore my health concerns. I can’t wait to go back!

I visited Harpenden Medical following a series of heart-related issues. I have seen various GPs and been prescribed different medications but didn’t see any improvement.
After speaking with Dr Jollyman, for the first time in years I feel I am finally being listened to and given the right advice. I feel better already after a few short weeks of treatment and I look forward to seeing more results.
