Dr Mike Smith

Dr Mike Smith is a North London–based GP with a surgical edge and a member of the Royal College of Surgeons and Minor Surgery Educator and GP Specialist.

A Member of the Royal College of Surgeons and former plastic surgery trainee, Mike combines precision-led surgical skill with the holistic care of general practice. He continues to perform enhanced minor surgical procedures in his clinical work.

Over the past 15 years, Mike has taught 20,000+ clinicians across the UK and beyond — making him one of the most trusted names in minor surgery education.

He is the creator and presenter of the world’s only fully online Minor Surgery course, developed in collaboration with a plastic surgery colleague to modernise and energise how procedural skills are taught.

Beyond the clinic and classroom, Mike serves as Deputy Medical Director for an Integrated Care Board, and regularly appears on LBC, national TV, and radio to provide expert healthcare commentary.’
